For one person or abutter to fight this alone creates a financial burden that few would want to undertake.

Together as a group we can unite in our efforts to fight to preserve this parcel of land as open space and recreational land.

We have the ability as a group to WIN

As of September 1, 2007 we have been successful in opening some of our elected officials eyes to the inaccurate environmental facts that have been used for the Senior Center.

We have gathered enough facts that should the Town move forward with the present plans to build on Pattison Street we stand ready for an appeal to Superior Land Court and/or the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).

                               We would PREVAIL

It is our hopes that the purchase of the Flame of Fire Church on Summer Street prevails for the Seniors.

With that accomplished we can say we WON round #1.

NOW the battle to educate the Abington School Department that Griffin's Dairy is NOT the right location to build a school.

The battle to preserve this parcel of land has only just begun!

Once we have preavailed in our efforts to preserve this parcel of land by having a Conservation Restriction placed upon it, any and all remaining funds would be used towards the preservation of the existing structures located on-site.
